T18 Rebuild

I have a t-18 4 speed out of an 800 that I just got a complete rebuild kit for. Is there any tricks or things that I need to look out for, our any more knowledge that I need other than the red, and the white services books.

Also I have the Dana 20 transfer case to do as well, do I need to separate them when I do this or can they stay connected. Any advise on either the trans or the transfer would be greatley appricated.

The oem service information should certainly be sufficient for any of the transmission rebuilds. I'd also set:

novak Jeep conversions - home

In my browser to use as a supplement doing the process.

In order to actually completely rebuild either device, they must be separated so that all internal parts can be removed for service/inspection/replacement.

Read all the documents supplied in the novak dbase before ya start to rip into this stuff!

thanks for the information. Im starting on them this afternoon, ill see how far I can get before the wenches start flying.

On another note, thank you for the carb rebuild, looks like new and was better than I thought it would be. Looking foward to getting it on and running.
