Ok so putting a t-18 in a 62 model 80 behind a 152. I have the pancake bell and mounts and all. But wondering about the clutch set up. I did not get the clutch rod setup out of the donor 800a. And really don't want one. Would like to stay with the hydraulic set up. But the bellhousing is not set up for that. I tried to search but found nothing. Guess I'm not using right keywords or something.
What has been done before?
I have an idea just not sure if it's been done. Or if it will work.
The two are similar enough. But the big defference is not having the little "tab" for the hydraulic throw out arm. I am considering having a flat spot milled in roughly same location. And drill and tap the housing to bolt on a "tab" to mount it up. The same for the out side edge to bolt up the slave. The casting looks to be thick enough. Just concerned about the force at play here.
I have seen a couple of post of rigged up things using the big swing are and a slave. But looks as if you have to cut up firewall to do it. I have not seen a clean install by going this route.
Your thoughts?
I ask in basic no answer. Thought I'd try here.
