Synthetic Oil Dfferences

Hello Sir,
I think this question has been previously covered, but I can't seem to find it.
What are the differences between SWEPCO 202, 212, and 711 synthetic manual gearbox oils?
I ask because I've recently acquired a four-speed Dana Transfer case for my IH Loadstar 4x4 conversion and Dana's tech support says I should run it with synthetic oil.
