Swapping pumpkins

1977 Scout 2 4cyl 3 speed with open Dana 44s. Question is: I have two good track locks out two Dana 44, 3.54 axles. The 196 has 4.10s will the trac locks work?

No they will not work. You either have to find different trac-locs for 4.09 and lower(numerically higher) gears or swap out the 4.09 gears that you currently have with whats called a thick version(has a thicker ring gear to make up the difference). Personally I wouldn't waste a dime on installing any used or new trac-loc. There's a reason why they are known in the industry as a "trash-loc" or "crack-loc".
