Steering Wheel Replacement

I have modified my 73" steering column; removing the ignition and cutting out the bearing and housing. It is all back together but I will need an adapter and steering wheel. My question is whether the sii steering shaft that holds the stock wheel on is similar to a GM? It looks like one and the ignition setup looked similar so I was wondering if anyone knows what type of adapter would work? Flaming river makes a "universal" adapter and grant has an adapter for a GM/amc/etc. Do you guys have a recommendation?

Thanks,

david

The Scout II steering column assemblies are a saginaw-sourced item, that means GM-design. The grant adapters for the appropriate version of a chev/gmc pickup with a "locking" steering column from the same era will work.

Same holds true for '74/'75 pickalls, but not any fullsize vehicle that has the ignition switch mounted in the dash panel (m/y '73 and earlier).
