Steering box frame issue

I have been having a problem with my steering and finally had a chance to tear things apart to see what was going on. I found that the frame is wavy right where the steering box blots to the frame.

Any suggestions on how to fix? I have attached an image of the problem

The wavy part looks like it is from the factory forming of the frame rails. I would check the welds near there and if nothing is cracked then you should be good.

I agree with michael. That said if you are planning to wheel the rig IHPA sells a reinforcing plate for that area due to the frame having a tendency to crack where the steering box is mounted.

On my sii the steering was majorly improved by having the box rebuilt. That was even after I had replaced the rag joint with a borgensen (also sold by IHPA).
