64 Scout 80, Gemmer steering box (just rebuilt 3/4-36 spline). I'm having a difficult time getting the steering bell joint to mesh with the steering box spline. By calipers, the spline is 0.72 (so 3/4 inch) and the steering bell joint is 0.70. So I'm sure I have the correct spline and the steering bell is the original. Do I have to expand the bell slightly to get this to slide together? On taking them apart, it was not a difficult separation. Thanks for help/advice!
