steering arms

You need a special tool -- ball joint remover / tie rod end remover ("pickle fork"?)

you can buy one at a well stocked parts store -- maybe even rent one if the parts store rents out tools...

There might be more than one type.

The "simple one" you just place the prongs around the stud between the top of the ball and the "arm" you want to remove the ball stud from (removing the nut / cotter pin first) and hit the end with a light sledge hammer. May take "some force" -- start "lightly" -- sometimes they just pop right out...

Forgot: wear safety glasses!

Using some penetrating liquid on the stud May help.

I did find my problem. It wasnt my draglink. It was the thing that the shoc mounts to that goes under the srpint. One of the bolts sheared and the plate broke. I did enclose pics and here they are.
I was also wondering if you can give me a tip on how to put said plate back under the springs so I can drive it again
will post pics in the next post

Her are the pics

Cannot really tell from your pictures, but it looks like you need new u-bolts.

Personally, I would not recommend this for the beginning diyer.

The u-bolts on both sides (driver and pass) should be replaced and an alignment done.

I would recommend taking the vehicle to a place that does alignment on motorhomes.

I strongly recommend that the vehicle be towed to the place of repair... That pickup will destroy any small car if you lose control and hit one.

Yes it will be towed to be fixed by a pro, the front left springs are being rebuilt die to a sheared off bolt. As I lloked at it I realized this is way beyond my scope of know how

Easy repair, but Robert has steered you correctly, if your not familiar, best left the the "pros".

Have both springs "rebuilt", with new center pins and bushing while your at it. Is the wedge plate that holds the shock mount cracked or split at all, or did it just spit out. Looks to me like it just spit out.

Actually it looks to me as if the u-bolts came loose, then you hit (pot hole, whatever) something hard enough to shove the whole axle back, off the center pin. This would cause serious handling and steering issues.

Luckily a good spring/suspension shop should be able to have you back on the road in a day, maybe two if they have to order parts.

Im having it rebuily next week, taking the bus for now but ill feel safer driving it after it is fixed!!!!!!!!!!
