hey all,
replaced the starter on my 72 1210 345 last night and went to start her and she fired up faster than I've ever heard. I literally touch the key to the right and BAM. There is no major grinding or issues but its so quick and knowing my luck its so good its concerning. Then I see on here a bit about spacers. It did not have one previously and I've never used one on my CJ. Its a remanned from AutoZone. Would love to hear its fine but lets hear the reality
Secondly; When I finally got the thing off and was done was done cursing whoever made those bolts so difficult to get to I felt around inside the bell housing and found some metal shavings and gunk in the corners I could reach. Any thoughts or prevention?
Thanx as always!
