The original rusty washers under the threaded collars of my wiper shafts don't go well with my nice paint job. Has anyone sourced these washers in stainless? Or does everyone else just clean-up and paint the originals?

Never thought about that problem erik! The windshield frames rot away long before the wiper system falls out!
Ya gotta dimension for those washers that would look nice without being too large in od? I have a couple of great fastener distributors locally that might have some specials in stainless that would work, I can check that out.
I don't currently have a Scout II on the place I can measure.

if you have the size (or one out), you could go to a orchard supply hardware and check.
"they" have a selection of stainless steel stainless steel washers, screws, bolts, nuts.
You might find one that works... Though I cannot remember if they go up to 1/2" id...
But, the osh near me just changed its nut, bolt, screw inventory to an even "cheaper brand" (my opinion) and halved the shelf space devoted to them.
