Im doing a rebuild on a 727 due to forward band loosing the lining. After I pulled the transmission from truck and dissasembled while on bench, when I removed the valve body. I noticed that the large spring that goes between the valve body and actuator in the tranny case is not there. I looked everywhere, couldent find it, thinking I dropped it. Considering that I removed the valve body while tranny was "upside down" pan facing up. Is the spring susposed to be there on all 727s? If so, I have another tranny that is tore down that I can use the spring from that one. Both transmissions are from the 74-75 model yr full sized trucks. Thanks.
