Someone has to know the guy with the 'monster truck' :d.

I'm sure it was just a regular lifted pickup....

Why do people do stupid stuff like this - with a 10 month old!!

A family outing Sunday to play in deep snow that left them stranded in for more than 36 hours ended happily Monday night when rescuers found their truck in the coastal mountains about 20 miles west of mcminnville.

James sparks, 34, edith barr, 40, 10-month-old gavin and the family dog set off in a Jeep cherokee Sunday afternoon along pea vine road, a rural gravel lane southwest of mcminnville.

When the gravel ran out, the sports utility vehicle got stuck in the four feet of snow on the mountain, far from cell phone reception. The couple spent a chilly night in the truck hoping someone might pass by.

On Monday morning, sparks set off to hike out, seeking help. Shortly after 2:30 p.m., he reached 9-1-1 to report that he had gotten stuck in a four-wheel drive vehicle off forest service road 3-6-33.4 in the coast range, at an elevation of about 1,500 feet.

Search and rescue teams mobilized to locate the family.


The family was found by yamhill county sheriff's deputies on snowmobiles and pulled out by a citizen in a monster truck shortly before 8:50 p.m., said sgt. Todd whitlow.

All were unharmed and did not need medical care, said whitlow.

They were old :d maybe it was there time!

I did see that story and just :nonod: my head...
 
So I was talking with a few of my buddies from around here and turns out the guy in the "monster truck" was my friends uncle in a samurai on bald 33's :out:

him and his nephew in a toyota were snow wheeling up there when they ran into the sheriff who was stuck in the snow trying to get to the Jeep morons. So they pulled him out and then when and found the Jeep and got them out.
