Snow run Feb 8th

Looking to head to the hills this weekend for some fun in the snow. Matt and I are looking to take our family's up and play in the snow. Last week Jesse and I went to fordyce ( exit 164 eagle lake turn off on 80) and there were no crowds, had the place to our self. We found a section of trail that made a great sled run. With the new snow will need to drive up and down it to pack the snow down and it will be a great sled run. There are bathrooms right in the area too. That a big hit with the ladies. Plus there are other roads to drive on too. It's in the pierce ohv area.

Another side benefit to tahoe national forest is you won't get a $300 ticket for having any dirt on your Scout either!!

All dirt / logging roads are closed in the eldorado national forest until April 1st. "it does not matter if the road is dry or 4 feet of snow on it." the quote is from the flyer I got around the first of the year.

Here a link to the closers on the web site

Sorry Craig, I won't be able to make this one. The phone keeps ringing and the work is piling up. I'll have to go the next time.

If it rains all weekend I May end up having the time to go. In fact I hope it rains all weekend as I need to get out and wheel as I haven't since the rubicon trip.

Of course after we left it snowed 18" that night, but it must have rain on the previous Thursday as the snow was less then the week before. We did find a spot for the kids to play, then decided to do some sippy hole driving. We were on the trail, but it was under water in places. I drove through a big hole and my brother got stuck, so Matt was takin a new line to pull him out, but still part of the trail.
