SlickRock, Deer Valley, Strawberry Run (July 15-17)

We had a good time...
It was great meeting frank, randy, doug & andy. Good to wheel with them along with cheese & Craig.

Friday made it all the way through slick rock to lake alpine.
There were lots of snowbanks near the end & it took us 1+ hours to the last 1/2 mile (winch fest).

Saturday we hit deer valley, we made it to the top/summit, but it was way worse.
Not knowing how much further/more snow there was, we turned around & camped late afternoon before the snow.
Later that evening (dusk) 2 jeeps (guys were out from michigan) came into camp from blue lakes & said that we turned around about 300 yards short of the end of the snow. They were the first guys to make it all the way through this year.

Yeah, me... Trailer ate a bearing on one wheel on my way up on Thursday. Left at 4pm, arrived in arnold @ 11:30pm.:rolleyes5:

Looks like fun! R290's rig is so beefed up these days the obstacles look alot smaller than they really are.

Her are a few of my pics of the run, fun trip! Nice to meet everyone, Craig(met u in the 'con) Craig(cheese) andy, doug, and Mike. I had fun, hoping to go on the con run in September with you all, and we will bring a couple more rigs,if possible. One more Scout and a Ford ranger, and randy's Bronco, if we can all go.

The way I get them to display is to upload the photos to IH Parts America photos page and then cut and paste the properties of the pic into my message. There are other, easier ways but I haven't learned them yet.

Andy gave that Scout a workout. He made it through a lot of stuff I wouldn't have thought he could. With only minor dents!! I got a little rash on the Jeep myself, this one stump jumped out and ripped my left rear flare.

I'd like to go, getting married in a few months, no money for multiple trips, is there a date for a sept rubicon run, I'd like to get myself and Joe, and randy and a buddy from oregon into a run with more people. I thought I read a post about a sept trip, but I can't find it, maybe I was looking at last years, in nor-cal scouts. Not sure. Mike, Craig? Is there a date planned?

Any one else have pictures of my Scout? Post away! Don't be shy!! maybe on the entrance to slick rock. That was quite a ride! I'd love a picture of that!
