'54 r 120 w/silver diamond 220 non tilter. Anyone know where to get valve stem seals for these? Rock auto has some but would like to know which ones - if anyone has ever bought any-thanks. Also, the pistons are marked "a" on some and "b" on the others.....?

I can't help ya on the stem seals as I've never had to get any.
On the pistons, keep track on which holes they came out of. Some of these older engines, before the advances in automatic tolerance control, had pistons matched to their respective cylinders. By the time a cylinder had the final finish, it could be above or below a nominal specification; a corresponding coded piston was then used. An engine from the factory in the day could have 1 or 2 tolerance grades of pistons used. Subsequent rebuilding could have also added pistons matched to their bores. You might find remnants of a letter coding for the cylinders on the block's deck.
