Hello all,
well, I was not happy with the flow of my ps pump for my hyrdoboost/hydro assist. So I purchased a high flow pump, and removed mine from it's reservoir.
Everything worked great, except ps fluid coming out of the upper bolt that holds the pump to the bracket.
Upon remove pump from reservoir, it seems that the reservoir has sort of a "pressed ring" where each of the orifices meets the reservoir. When I r&r'd the pump, I guess I ruined this "ring" and it could not properly press into where it needed to go to create a seal.
Here is a pic (not of actual reservoir, but shows the "rings". Look at the bigger hole near the return line)
Before I used a rubber mallet to seat the reservoir onto the pump, but I'm thinking this was wrong.
What is the proper procedure to press a pump into a reservoir creating the proper seals? I ordered a new can with dual returns, and don't want to screw this up (again).
Thanks, hope you all had a great thanksgiving....
