78 Scout, T19 transmission. I had some sort of internal issue and ended up with a cracked case. I found a single bent roller bearing in the bottom of the case and assume it came out somehow and got lodged between one of the gears and the transmission housing. Driving gently, the transmission seems to be in working order, and I wondering how "rebuildable it is I've been looking around for a replacement scout t19 to no avail. I'm wondering if I can pick up one of the more common Ford t19s as a serviceable core. I know the input shaft (maybe output shaft will be different). So, my questions are:
-driving gently, the transmission seems serviceable, and I can cleanly shift. I can repair the case. Is it worth giving a shot at rebuilding?
-if not, can I interchange a Ford T19? Any guess as to where i can find interchange info?
