Was at the stockton pick-n-pull today and saw a 76' Scout pickup. It had a 4 cylinder and manual trans. Everything was there still. There was also a 304 w/manual trans and transfer case in the bed. Just though I would let you guys know.

Whats a Scout? And how did that tranny look, was it clean or old and crusty? Heres what I mean did it appear to be fresh out of roll'n stock? Thanks if you respond, david the chricahua Scout, airborne ranger oh, happy to drive '65 4x4 d1100, [2nd owner] Even that guy Mike from ore. Liked it, hump, and all the way. Respectfully

Thanks, hoping to visit w/ you soon, games ? Re-read my post, I was serious, I need a tranny, loose you're 'tude and I 'll gladly, respond in the positive, to whom ever posted, the pic and pull post? You go to bed , get some rest, my regards david

What is a Scout? And how did the tranny look? Well the tranny was dirty, had some oil on it and under the Scout, a Scout is like a Jeep, but an International. I didnt have time to remove and disassemble the trans for inspection. My regards justin

Seriously, it was complete and appeared to be all there. There was an engine and trans in the Scout and an engine and trans in the bed. It had a fairly straight body and was orange. Not sure that a tranny out of a Scout will work being that the trucks use a divorced transfer case. But maybe you can removed tailshaft housings and adapters and make something work.
