scout 80 wheel options

Have a 62 with Dana 27. Currently has 6.5 x 16 from the 70's that came with it. I have milked them for everything there worth but they've had it. I'm looking for options - this rig is used for plowing snow and scraping horse poop - any insight would be appreciated

If you're not married to the 16" tires, you can always go to the ultra-common 15" x 5.5" five-lug rims that came on later model scouts as well as jeeps, broncos, sammies, etc. Lot's of options there.

Thanks - yea 15 seems the way to go and they're cheaper too. I was thinking 235/75/15 maybe? It will go down the hiway occasionally but I really don't care what speed I drive at around here ( n montana) is the hole in the center of the rim on Scout II's the same on the Dana 30/44 as it is on the 27?

Thanks - I ended up going with some cheap 15 x 7 cragars. V-5 series with 3 1/4 back spacing and the 4 1/4 center bore. Tires are uniroyal liberator 6 ply 235/75/15 with an overall diameter of 28.9 and a section width of 9.3. The tires don't quit make the edge of the fender on the outside edge and when fully turned leave about 1/2 inch between the inside edge of the tire and the front leaf spring. It's all I could afford but the traction is pretty decent, they won't rub, and the ride aint bad at all.
