Scout 80 fuel tank straps.

The Scout 80 I acquired came with no fuel tank straps that I would prefer to fashion myself. I can find no reference as to how they attach and function. Can someone post an image of this please. Thanks. I'll be back! I am new here. I've had it for nearly a year and am anxious to get it on the road.

I'm not a Scout 80 expert, but I thought the 80's and 800's fuel tanks were bolted with four bolts from under the body up into a bracket on the bottom of the fuel tank itself.
No straps were used.
Then a panel closed them in from the forward side of the rear wheel well.
Please correct me if I am incorrect.

Thanks for that input—maybe your correct. My setup is as you describe, but I keep seeing those straps shown with other Scout 80 tanks from providers and couldn’t figure out what I was supposed to do with them. My Scout also has roll up windows, which seems to be unlike others of this year. This will save me some grief if they are not necessary. I’d appreciate any confirmation that can be provided about this. Again, muchas gracias.

Only the aftermarket polyethylene tanks use straps. The factory steel tanks mount from the bottom as 1975IH200 has already posted.
