Hi everyone,
rather new, and not sure if this question is a proverbial no-no on the forums. I recently bought a 1968? Scout 2, with the 345ci engine. It needed a ton of work, and after having it I've managed to keep it all original, and got it running and driving (albeit not great). Unfortunately, life has taken over at this point, and I have debated selling it. Although, with it's present condition, I have no idea where to start on what it's worth. Here's a brief description :
the body has dings, and rear passenger side quater panel needs some bondo attention.
It does have rusted through floor panels, and will need sheet metal.
The dust guard cover, and flywheel cover are missing on it.
I've shaved the top (unrepairable)
the front shocks I removed while installed and tweaking the suspension, they were very inadequate.
The body does have rusted through spots, mainly only the windshield bracket in spots, and floorpans.
Here's what I've done to it after getting it back home.
Adjust the timing and distributor
replaced all fluids and filters
replaced spark plugs
rubberized the underbody to prevent rust
replaced the solenoid, and battery
cleaned and replaced the fuel tank and lines
replaced spark plugs
adjusted the Holley gold box carb
sanded and painted the outside body, and interior 80% thus far to prevent rusting.
Ran new brake lines to the front.
Installed a new power steering pump
raised the shackle lift another 2 inches
installed 35inch buckshot mudders
and quite a few other nick-nacks
unfortunately, I havent been able to upload and photo's online yet. If someone fairly versed in pricing on these was interested though, I'll list my phone number here at the bottom and can send pictures via message. Hate to see her go, but unfortunately no time to continue this summer, and I'd like to see it go to a good home.
