Yes I am coming in my big Scout if a trailer comes my way otherwise I will show up in my new rallye. I will have a crew of my wheelin buddies with me, we are not scared of beating our rigs soo it shall be fun. I May have richard show up in his travelette and 2 others josh with orange disel and james with baby blue stocker

I should be able to make it at least one day. Maybe one night. Like Friday-Saturday. If I end up working ot on Friday, then I May try and head down soon after work.

Good guys car show is the same weekend. And I had plans to go one day there. Looking into seeing about talking to one or more venders about suspension for my 51 studebaker. That's about the only thing that's holding me back in that project.

Ahhh, studebaker. My folks had a 55 commander that was handed down to me when I first started driving. Fond memories of that car. Friends gave it a few nick-names from that era: “superstude” and the “boss baker”. Back in the mid 60’s ‘boss’ was a big surfing buzz word in la.

My grandmother had a study all I remember about it was the ugly bullet looking front end not for my taste at all... She crashed it into the garage lol it died at that point

Yea - them bullit nose stude's are fairly fugly. Luckily, I have the sr5 truck. In stock form, it looks similar to a choped Ford or Chevy pickup. I have had my studebaker for about ten years, and the front suspension has been about the only thing that held up the project. Ontop of lack of funds to get started. Now that I have a functioning 9" rear end, it's time for me to actually start the project.

I should be up and in here scooten around the shop fairly early. I May try and have the roll up door open by at least 8:00 am. If if ya get here earlier, then rap on the roll up door and I'll be able to hear ya from the back of the shop

if ya need some serious work done, the earlier the better. That way we have time to finish up some of the loose ends.

I am very tempted to getten busy with a shackle reversal in my own rig. I already have all the parts and tools for it. It's not too hard. Took me less than a day the last time I did it on one of my other scouts

with the way this rain is coming down all week, the bbq May seem out of the question. We could send some one out for a food run. Or order for delivery.

Oh as a side note

for those of ya who have been here before and did some wrenching in the front part of the shop in the semi darkness, it has been resolved. Today the owner of the building finally got up off his lazy arse and had his crew replaced the non-working lights in that front room. After many months of bitchen at him and his secretary about it, they finally got em worken. Now on to another project of increase in space, which has been a year long battle of bitchen.

Man, as much as I need the wrench time I'm actually driving to l.a tomorrow at 1 for a wedding on Saturday. I won't be back till Monday. So next time for sure but ill have to pass this time. Thanks for the invite.

Any time bud. Good luck with the la-smog traffic once ya get down there. I grew up in so cali.:yikes: if ya like a good steak and have the time. Swing by harris ranch in coalinga and have a rib eye steak for me - lol

Yea. I normally only go that way for the kids to hit disneyland. But a army buddy of mine is taking the leap and I told him I'd make it. Plus its free booze. (silver lining) the rain should keep the smog down. I'll look into the the ranch, who doesnt love a good steak, thats if I'm not smashed. Hahaha

True that about the rain

well
there's no turning back for me now. I just started worken on a shackle reversal on my 73 beast. Currently have the front diff housing with springs off onto the floor. And just finished cutting off the driver side front shackle hanger off the frame. Moving onto the passenger side after this short recess. I will be posting pics in my build threadsoon.

I May end up pulling an all nighter here in da cave. So if ya arrive early, rap on the roll up door. If I'm asleep I will be able to hear it.

No worries. I am here all day. No one showed up yet. And I will be here all day tomorrow too. So if any one wants to come down tomorrow, feal free to come hang out

I am in middle of doing a shackle reversal in my 73 beast. Had the front fangs tack welded in last night. But just cut the tacks off, due to the fangs not being 31" on center of leaf spring mounting - sigh. It was late and I was tired. I was about 1/2" to an 1" off

One guy showed up. We didn't get much work done. Spent more time chatten away, talken typical IH stuff. Occasionally taken a break from yacking to actually work on my 73 beast a little
here's a shot of the front fangs with the tube brace tacked into place. After using my plasma cutter to cut off rear spring hangers, andy was getting set up to grind off clean the rest of the bugger welds that were left.

We spent more time talken than actually working. Other wise, we would have had it completed by now. It's all good.
