I had one bad motor mount and replaced it with an rpt mount. A few months later I had to replace the other side. Well it's been less than a year and when my tranny mount needed to be replaced rpt is was. These are not new products, but time tested old one's:gringrin:

it came with instructions and a drawing which was a nice touch

yea that 2x1/4 flat bar is my version of a skid plate:dita:

This is something I need to do. I've already installed the rpt engine mounts on mine. How easy was it to install the tranny mount with the engine bolted in?

It is actually very easy. Take a floor jack and take the weight off of the crossmember. Unbolt the old mount then give the jack on more pump should lift it enough to remove the old one. From there it is simply reversing the process and bolting in the new one. There are no modifications needed. You will be amazed how much vibration and noise it will eliminate. Total job should take less than a hour.

Sorry for the delay, I was out of town. As Chad said it easy.
I would recommend power washing to remove mud and dirt. I used a floor jack and a 4x4 to lift the rear of the transfer case. You might need to reverse the bolt holding the parking brake cable bracket. It was easier then the engine mount as you can see everything. I would recommend some new grade 8 7/16 tranny bolts. I could not find any in my drawer, so I clean up the old ones and used carb cleaner to clean the tranny holes, then put a few drops of lock tight purple (low strength) to fill in any voids in the aluminum transmission case. I have had trouble with the transfer case bolts working lose, so figured might as well keep these in place .

Is that a 'custom' square tube front driveline I see? :icon_eh: musta been a bear to balance.

You don't balance square tube drive shafts. They are built for strength, basically for trail rides only. Never use one if you plan on using 4 high.
