Rpt stainless dash panel question

Hi everybody,

I am pondering the rpt dash panel for my scoutii without the gauges. My issue is that the gauges I want to use only comes with a 2" fuel gauge. So the rest of my gauge cluster minus the 3-3/8" speedo & tach will have to be 2" as well to make it look right. Not a big deal to me, but my concern was that the small hole in the panel as I read the product description was 2-1/16". Would a 2" gauge work? Also the gauge company makes several fuel gauges for Ford, GM, amc and so on. Which fuel gauge/sending unit combo would work in a scoutii? The gauges I want to go with are the equus brand. Reason being is that they seem to be readily available in my area and I can get them at an excellent price. Thanks in advance for the help!

Yes a 2" gauge will work in the 2 1/16" hole. If the hole was exactly 2" I doubt the gauge would fit nicely. As for the fuel gauge you will need one that rougly measures 12-72 ohms. If you cannot find what you are looking for we sell a complete dash panel kit with isspro gauges as well as individual gauges.

I see. Well with that being said, would the 3-3/8" gauge work well with the panel? I know it sounds redundant but I am just trying to get my ducks in a row before I make a purchase. If you are not familiar with equus gauges, here is a link to their web site.

Huh? I don't understand your question nor can I comment on how equus gauges fit these panels as I am not familiar with their gauge. If you want information on how isspro gauges fit I can answer those becuase that is what we use. Otherwise the specs for the hole size of our gauge panels is already listed. If you want to know if the equus gauges will fit these holes then you need to contact them about the actual sizes of their gauges.

Thanks Jeff. I guess I should have realized that before my last reply. I have sent them a technical request. One other thing, I was considering the equus gauges becaue of their unique installation design. They use a lock ring style cup that secures the gauge in the panel. How do the isspro gauges install in the stainless panel?

Depending on the gauge part number each has a different type of mounting clamp. Best bet is to check out isspro's website for detailed information.
