Round Pattern NP205

Prefer the Chevy variety (from behind a th400).

I'll consider a Ford (I'll have to flip it).

Let me know what you got.

Do you need an entire chev pattern 205??? Or just the pieces to make one work with a turbo in married mode??

I have most of an entire turbo-spec 205 (actually two of 'em) that has been disassembled and pieces id'd. But I'm not familiar enuff with that version to know exactly what parts are needed. I can try and find a parts list for the turbo version that contains spicer p/n (not GM) and then do an inventory of what I have by p/n.

The bearings are missing as these cases were destined to be used to build custom units using a bearing and gasket/seal kit, the bearings were tossed, I think I have all the thrust washers also.

All this stuff was taken from runner 205s that were pulled apart to sell the pieces separately, I know I have two t350 splined couplers as they are plainly marked as such. The larger one I believe is for a 400.

The case has been sterilized inside and out and is in primer, ready to assemble.

Are you sure the th350 & the th400 versions are the same?

This will go behind a np241 doubler, so I need an entire ps NP205 with the round pattern/female input.

I believe these were only used 80-86 in Chevy trucks with th400s

the th350s & sm465s had figure 8/racetrack patterns for the adapter.

This is the type (round) I need:

This is the racetrack style which won't work:

The case I have is not that version shown in your first pic.

Sorry!

Some of the internal parts most likely are the same, if you end up needing some guts, give me the np part numbers and I'll check what I have on the shelves. Everything is cleaned, marked and sorted.

I have two couplers id'd as th 350, the third coupler is not marked but is noticeably larger overall than the 350 items, therefore I'm assuming it is a 400 coupler.

Hi Mike, I have a few 205's all passenger drop. I have a married unit off a dodge np435 that is separated from the tranny for ease of handling the unit. I was planning to drop it into my 67 power wagon but that hasn't happened yet. Will the dodge married unit work for you?

I also have a th350 married to a 205 out of a 72 blazer.

He is looking for the 32 spline 6 bolt round pattern NP205... Almost everyone has the 'figure 8' pattern 205.

This is the adapter that you'd have if you had one - it is different than the version that came behind a th350.

I went to 2 pick n pulls today, plus another private/off the grid large yard.

I found a few racetrack 205s, tons of 241s, but no round Chevy or Ford 205s.

I remember when you couldn't find a 241 anywhere....while 205s were a dime a dozen.

I have what you're looking for, plus a thick round pattern spacer to move the 205 case (and therefore the shift rails) back from the 241 case.

I have the 241 doubler junk, too. Just never got to getting it all together and installed.

Unfortunately, I'm in tn and you're in the bay area. Probably $500 + shipping (including the aa spacer). Let me know if you're interested and I'll see if I can scrounge up some pics.

Sorry for not being precise. The 205 and aa spacer would be $500.

The box4rocks is (I think) $499 by itself to buy now-a-days, and mine is already installed in a 241, plus has both 23 and 32 spline inputs (I need to double check those spline counts - pretty sure that's right). I think I'd want $500 for the 241/b4r stuff by itself.

I think that's 'decent' pricing; not horrible, not amazing. But shipping might tip the scales unfavorably.

I picked up a Ford 205 yesterday at a local yard.

Got it with a front cv driveshaft for $110 out the door. :icon_rotate:

looks like I'll be flipping it, and machining it to have the shifter go through the rear...

Mike the 205 I used in my 241/205 doubler was out of a 88 3+3 with a 465 four speed.I dont know how the Ford case will work,I was goin to try it if I didnt find the right case, but if usin a Chevy case you'll need a clocking ring.

Anyone have an extra NP205 idler shaft?

The po stripped mine.:icon_rolleyes:

it's the shaft inbetween the outputs that goes through the case & bolts on one side.
