ROUGH?

My 76 345 automatic terra is running, but! When I slow down to make a curve and then give it gas it runs real rough (its not falling on its face just real rough) until it gets up to about 35 mph then everything smooths out nice and gets on down the road? Any suggestion what to look at? I have strong accellarator squirt?
Ps I know get a 2300 but at this time I have more priorities like new rotors mufflers, etc.
 
My first guess is an incorrect float level in the fuel bowl. Either too high allowing fuel to slosh and partially flood the engine, or too low, and the engine is being momentarily starved for fuel.
