Hey there, bit of a noob and need some insight on things to consider with the rc 4" lift. I've got a '79 Scout II with the stock suspension and it needs helps.
As I read through the threads and reviews, some questions come up,
1. Will I need to extend the brake lines?
2. The front axle May need to be turned to avoid negative caster, can this be accomplished with shims? I'm not ready to pull the front axle at this point. If necessary, I will do it at some point in the future.
3. Is there anything that needs to be done with the shackles? Btw, what's a reverse shackle?
4. For tires, I'd like to run 31's to 33's max, what can I expect in terms of net lift with this kit?
5. Will I need a new pitman arm?
6. Will the drivelines need to be lengthened?
The vehicle is primarily for light trail work. Any other major considerations?
Thanks.
