64 Scout 80, Ross steering box. I'm rebuilding the steering system and found the Ross steering box was complety dry. I added about 8oz 140w GL-1 gear oil to the point of overflow from the filler hole, but, not unexpectedly, it's leaking from the base. I don't think the unit needs a rebuild. Can I use John Deere corn head grease instead?
