I hope I got everyone. If not, send me a pm and I’ll sneak in an edit.

thou shall not laugh at me, as that Was a something new and different. Here are a few things I learned in just getting To the museum.
• never try a close formation caravan on city streets at noon time on a Sunday, unless there’s a police escort. I guess I've been spoiled by our past toys 4 tots runs.
• have a planned route. Print up directions for everybody and stick to it.
• get gas ahead of time. Doh
• cell phone number exchange – cb – ham – morris code – smoke signals – whatever…is a must. I only thought that applied on the trail......nooooooo way.
• allow much more time than estimated. Don’t rush it and just let it flow.
Having said that, I had a great time. Thanks everyone. The whole thing actually came together from those that had breakfast at the diner to the ones that made it to diablo. A few of you knew how nervous I was getting my feet wet with this road trip. I was really hoping for 10 trucks, which would have been cool. But in reality maybe 6 would get together. We ended up with 11 IH’s, at least those in the photo. – Joe and stacy came in the Jeep and dave rode shotgun with me in my pickup. Not bad, not bad at all. I’d like to do something like this again, ya know?
• good suggestion doc. You’re right Joe m, blackhawk is an amazing place.
• Mike, our docent, gave us a good tour. He even let us take a group photo on their concrete entryway, no less. Drippings?…I didn’t see any
• my favorite was the red t-bird. I was most impressed with the woodie. If you’re into that roaring 20’s / wwii era, ya gotta love that beige 100 pointer. Cheese is pretty knowledgeable when it comes to these cars.
• I learned how the trunk and station wagon got their name.
• for those of you who didn’t travel to diablo state park, pm me your address and I will put a dash plaque in the mail.
Those that ended up at diablo: jared chelsea dave doc Joe stacy and the hayward harvesters.
We got to diablo later in the afternoon. Nice views from up there. On a clear day, the summit has to be the go-to place. We settled into rock city picnic area, which is the first set of picnic sites on the road to the summit. We were all hungry by then. Breakout the sandwiches and munchies. For the most part, we just sat around the tables and talked. And ate. Doc enjoyed his wine – I enjoyed my dr pepper. Plenty of shade trees in the area. There was no need to set up the ezup’s, but I’m still glad that Joe and I had ours. I think we all started to head down the hill by 6:00. I think doc went to pick up parts at jared’s.
Never got to the horseshoes. Timing wasn’t right. We’ll always have the shoes and stakes for hollister, etc.
I’d go meet back up there again for a picnic, now that I kind of know what the area is like. I’d even consider doing an overnighter in the group camp area.
Here are a few photos at blackhawk that willie sent me.
if doc’s service truck could be closer to the handrails, our combined drip pattern would make a happy face.
