Replacing fuel pump, BD264.

PO of my '59 had cobbled in an electric fuel pump, and bypassed the stock fuel pump on the BD264. Electric pump died, and I'm going to return it to a mechanical pump.

Is it going to be a simple affair of merely tilting the pump to get the pump arm under the cam, or will there be some kind of trick to it?

It should be a tilt and bolt installation.

It always helps to rotate the engine till the fuel pump lobe of the cam is pushing on the fuel pump arm the least amount possible.

If you can, take a look at the lobe. They can become worn to the point where the pump stroke is low and effect fuel pump function.
