I need to replace my 37 year old seats with highback style. Any suggestions for ease of installation, comfort and looks?
Thanks in advance. Pbwoody
my Scout II is 345, auto, 1972 and is a daily driver still.
In my terra I have front seats out of a pontiac tran-sport. They don't tilt forward but it works in my truck.
I have seen several use Ford explorer or ranger buckets. As well as pt cruiser and heep wrangler seats.
I was looking for monte carlo or grand prix seats. Late 80's early 90's. But at nationals a few years ago I found these near perfect $50.00 for the pair. I am 6'6" tall with a 34" inseam. So head room is an issue. So I made custom mounts out of 2x2 steel sq. Tube.
Now I have plenty of headroom an arm rest on the inside of the seats.

In my 74 Scout II, last month I installed a pair of front buckets seats from a 99 izuzu amigo. Both seats tilt forward and all the way back. Passenger side has a spring built in for when a passenger in the back seat pulls the front seat cord it tilts and slides forward at the same time, and comfortable
I May do the same thing for my 72 bender with these seats. Not sure if ihjeff remembers seing them when I was up at his shop Thursday. Light primer green exterior.
