"Remanufactured" Scout II Steering Box

I noticed IH Parts America sells a "remanufactured" power steering box.

What is IH Parts America's definition of "remanufactured" and how is it different than cheaper "refurbished"

Remanufactured is taking the steering box apart and rebuilding it back to factory specifications. A refurbished part can mean almost anything from just painting it to make it look new again to just taking apart, cleaning and reassembling with little to no new parts.

Fyi our steering boxes are sent out to a family owned rebuilder here in northern California where they are completely disassembled, cleaned, inspected for defects, then reassembled using all new bearings and seals. The steering box then gets tested and sent back to us. Since switching to this company we have had only one complaint/return and after testing it was determined that nothing was actually wrong with the box but had to do with the customer installation. We are use to getting a box of parts back from them versus a built steering box as they are very anal about the condition of the parts they use and have no problem rejecting any cores we might send them for rebuilding.
