re-manufactured 345 Motor of IHParts??

re-manufactured 345 Motor from IHParts??

From what I can tell s&j does the work for you guys on the remaned engines for scouts that you sell, I am in need or a new 345 and its more cost effective for me to buy a remaned engine than have a local shop with limited IH experience do the work. My big question is what would be the advantages of going through ihparts instead of going directly to s&j??

Thanks,

Hi rob,

not sure which is more efficient for you to read but I will respond here instead of the email you also sent so that the answer will be here for future readers.

In short the main advantage is that we are a one-stop shop for your IH vehicle. We help take the pain out of scouring the internet and dealing with all kinds of vendors for your parts. What we offer is a level of support and knowledge that you're not going to get by shopping for engines or really any part on your own.

There is of course the back end support that goes along with any transaction done through IHPA. We are a member of the IH community and have a vested interest in insuring that our customers are well taken care of. If you have an issue with a part that IHPA sells, we are here to stand behind it or to insure that our vendor does. If you buy directly from a vendor like s&j you are on your own if there are issues with the product.

Lastly as stated above, we are part of the IH community and support many IH events throughout the nation, host this free forum for our customers, offer technical advice and services and are a small family run and owned business. Hopefully that is another appealing part of shopping with IHPA.

I hope this is helpful, if you have any further questions or if we can help you with the purchase of your engine please let us know.

I can vouch that IH Parts America does stand behind their products. If, god forbid, something is wrong with the engine they will support you and have a lot more pull with the vendor than an individual.

Case in point, I rebuilt a 345 for my Scout a couple of years ago. Bought most of the parts through these folks and use a knowledgeable local builder. It took them 8 months to get the job done! They did a superb job and the cost was just a bit more than an engine from here, but the wait sucked and I did a lot more of the assembly than I would have if I bought a long block crate motor. I did have them shave the deck on the block for a compression boost though, don't know if s&j does that.

I can also vouch for IH parts. They are a valuable asset to the IH community. I have seen first hand how they stand behind their products and service. Which is why I continue to shop with IHPA.

Well put! I try to support small business every chance I get. You guys are a great asset to the IH community. Thank you!
