Rallye

We will need to pass the hat to collect $225.oo for sponsorship.

I need some feedback. Now that we are no longer a chapter with sw will our outlook/duties change at the rallye? I think the obvious is we will still do the Sunday breakfast and sat lunch.

I heard rumor that sw will still continue to sponsor; but I don’t know at what capacity. As of now I won’t be renewing my sw membership, so I will not represent them. Maybe one of you can.

But who will fund the breakfast and lunch? What I am not sure of is once we pay the $225.oo if we have to come up with the food money or if the rallye supplies it. Our food bill last year was just under $300.00.

So what is the $225 for if not for the food? Just for the opportunity for us to "sponsor" the event? Should we plan on $525 for food and sponsorship? :skep:

Trying something new this year with sponsorships. In addition to the “prospector” sponsorship [$100.oo] We’ve added 4 “gold country” sponsorships [$225.oo] Which will subsidize the food and award budget.

I talked with Mike tonight and got some clarification. Our $225.oo is all we need to collect. If the costco purchase goes over $225, then the rallye general fund will reimburse us for the difference. In other words, we don’t need the funds until October. Pete, we all take part in cooking the Sunday morning breakfast. Last year karen and marty served lunch, but this year the rallye May hire a few of the lfr’s kids to do the lunch gig.

In terms of funding our sponsorship, if you are not going to rejoin sw in April, how about putting some that $60 towards the rallye. That’s the way I’m looking at it.

Sounds fine. I just was just curious more than anything. If it would have been $525, well... That is quite a bit to collect for the rallye. I'm on board for whatever, just wanted clarification on how much we needed to raise.

Sometime during the summer, I will make a post that I am “passing the hat” to the guys who frequent our room. By then we will be more established, and with a side dish of credibility. Hopefully there will be some takers. For the most part, I think $35.oo each would cover our regular click.

Sure, I'll go along with the passing of the hat but that will probably be the limit of my contribution this year.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we turn a profit last year? What is that money being spent on?

Marty

Heck marty, I wasn’t planning on a sponsorship from you this year. I wasn’t even going to ask you and karen. As for babs, if we can come up with the $225.oo for our sponsorship, the rallye will cover the rest of the costco bill. I will still have the shop sponsor again and carl said he was also in for a sponsor and babs.

It’s the same gig as last year, but rather than sw supplying the funds, we pass the hat.

This is yawls deal...not mine.

But...for the Sunday breakfast, my wife and I (and most likely a few of our own IHSTO members) will do the flapjack deal again, and we pay for that portion, no chargeback to anyone.

This is not part of any future sponsorship that IHSTO May kick in for, I don't have a say in that though I know my wife (club secretary) will "suggest" that IHSTO do that again for '09 rallye.

This is a donation on the part of kathy and I in appreciation of your producing first class events! And we're in for some raffle donations as always when the time comes.

So cary and Mike can handle this as they see fit, we'll just be there and use warm water in flapjack batter this time!

Thanks michael. I was hoping to join forces again this year. We did good last year; turned out a lot of food in short order fashion. This year I’m going to set your alarm clock.

Bring your bee and/or IHSTO banner with you to hang up in the gazebo. I will have one made for babs soon. Ya know, gotta make up a rallye banner for all of Jeff’s road trips.

your next post will be 1500. Nice milestone.

hear ye, hear ye.

Time to pass the hat. We need $’s for our sponsorship. If you would send me a $20.oo bill, that would be great. To give you an idea of how much we need, last year’s food bill ran us $300.oo at costco.

Mail to:

I need the money by oct 1. When you send it, post up so I will be on the lookout for it. [some of you know how bad I am with mail]

Thanks everyone for your help. It was great show; it basically ran itself. With all my years dealing with regionals and 3 years here, this was the first time I left the registration tent and did something else. That was pretty cool. Glancy had the best time out here and he was impressed last year.

We have leftover funds in the neighborhood of $80.00. Should we just hang on to it for a future use?

randy has $80 owed.
