I am looking for a medium duty or maybe a heavy duty 50's all wheel drive pickup in a running condition, or at least almost running condition. Contact me if you are interested.

Fd,
that is a great find and tempting! However I am looking for a little less of a project and more of a heavier duty truck as the 140 version is a 1.5 ton. I like the look of the 50's bigger stock trucks as they sit high with skinny tires and without the modern lift. I think a 160 would be good too, but do not know if all wheel drive was available. Just looking for something to drive around town on the weekends without a particular reason other than for a fun ride.
Thanks for helping.

I sure like this one.

But I don't see any pickups there.

Here's another one for you.

1955 International r150 flatbed runs good

The woodie is out of my price range. This is a pickup I found surfing the web. I have seen them with stepside beds as well.
Thanks for looking for me.

Wow!!!! That is a good one fd. However I just purchased a 1944 truck a few days ago (attached) and I do not think I can swing another truck this soon. Somebody should snatch the 140, there was less than 1,000 made in all wheel drive in all years produced from the information I could find.

Thank you for helping with the chase.

Well looks like you found a great alternative! I just love this vintage iron. What are the spec's on the yellow truck and what are your plans???

My plans are to get it running, fix some leaks, clean it up with new glass and make it mechanically sound. Is has minimal rust for its age, so I like the way it looks at the moment.

It is a 1944 m-2-4 1 ton military truck that was made for the navy or marines. Probably when the military disposed of it, somebody added the k-5 cab and the double winches. It is cool.
