Question about TravelAll 1010

To any of you guys,

my father also has a Travelall (see picture) which he will never get around to due to four rounds with cancer over the last few years. Anyway, in looking on some of the parts sites, it seems like it would be worth more if parted out vs. Sell outright. Does anyone have any input on this?

My opinion only...if the body rust is really bad, then put it up for sale as a parts rig and let someone else part it out!

In my experience, for a hobbyist to part something like this will take forever to find buyers, then they will snap up the good stuff leaving you with a hull that nobody wants due to shipping costs for the heavy stuff.

If you have the title (and it's clean), and the rust is minimal, then it is a candidate for a driver, we have rigs far worse than that one running around on the street up here! So market it as a resto candidate.

Thanks for the advice michael. The only reason I am asking is that I saw some of the prices for parts on some of the top sites, and I could fund a great deal of my son's project Scout II with the money. It would be nice to drive the Travelall, and actually it is in better shape than the Scout at my Dad's place.

Thanks again!

I know the "parts price" site you are referencing....and that operation is a total anomaly and has no reference to reality so don't let that one be your guide!
