I have a Scout 80 with a Holley on it im not sure what model but the 4 numbers on the top are 2494 and the discharge nozzle gushes fuel all over the place what is wrong? I thought it was only suppose to spray a mist

Ok that is fairly normal for the 1904. They don't have a sharp stream but rather a coarse shower discharge. Not very precise but gets the job done. You can remove the nozzle by removing the screw in the top of it and make sure it is ok. Don't drop it down the carb. I attached some photos of one I have around.. Th crecent shaped opening seen from the top view is kinda a cup with exit in the bottom. The fuel is pumped into the opening in its bottom and should spray out generaly. If the hole in the bottom becomes obstructed it will fill up and run over the top and all around. Take the shooter nozzle off and make sure the gasket is intact and the openings are clear.

Thanks man! Got her all cleaned and fixed it was just dirty and now my issue is that I cannot keep the Scout running unless the idle is high it wont idle at normal rpms I give it a few pumps it runs then dies so I assumed that the float was down and not letting the jet pickup fuel I took it apart and everything seemed to be clean and when I blow into the port the float lift up so im lost as what to do now?

Set the float bowl fuel level,...review all the treads pertaining to the 1904 and you will see pictures of what it should be.

Your problems sure sound like classic "main well" failure due to internal contamination. No doubt the inlet and outlet checks in the main well for the accelerator pump system are not sealing when the pump is active. The main well should be disassembled and cleaned and the operation of the economizer verified.
