pull the tranny or not?

M/m , I posted a thread the other day on my 727 acting up. I'm kinda at odds to whether or not I should just go ahead and yank the sucker or pull it apart and investigate. I do have one more known good trans and converter at my disposal but I'll have to transfer the valve body with the shift kit if possible. [79 valve body to 74 trans] Then do a complete reseal and vent procedure again. Dont mind the work, its just the expense of the adapter case seals and all the other goodies.

I've overlooked your "other post man! Sorry! Let me take a look and get back to ya there.

As for a '79 valve body into a '74 case assembly, I would not do that. The '79 (if it's correct) would be a "part throttle kickdown" valve body with one additional added "module" to it. While it will bolt in, the other changes to the input shaft and reaction shaft support outlined in this thread:

Are going to create even more problems.

One more time....this kinda stuff is not "all the same"!!
