PS Pump bracket

Ok, just received my new rpt power steering pump bracket (non-smog).

Po had installed a `79 Scout ps pump with a homemade-fabbed bracket (that shook like a cheap motel bed).

I also have an early 70s Travelall pump and factory brackets I snagged from e-pay.

For the life of me, I can't see how to mount either of my pumps to the rpt bracket, whether standalone, or using the pile of parts from the po & ebay.

I'm sure I will kick myself in the rear when someone points out the relatively simple solution (pics would be sweeeeet), but I'm not proud. . .

Rich,

the rpt bracket you purchased will only fit the Scout II pump - not the pump from the Travelall. From there the bracket bolts to the front of the cylinder head. I don't have a picture to show you how it installs but if someone else does then please post up.

If you have a camera post a pic or two of what you're exactly trying to do and we'll take it from there.

That's cool, as I have a Scout II pump as well (po used a Scout II pump and box in his conversion. However, I still can't quite figure out how the eccentric washer comes into play even with the Scout II pump. I'm probably missing some of the Scout bracketry in the po's setup, but darned if I can tell since none of it is relevant to my truck's original setup. Will need to flag down a Scout and peer under his hood and soon.
