Pressure plate wear fix

How do I make sure the wear on the '3 bolts' does not happen with the new pressure plate I'm installing? (it's a 11" clutch on a 345). I do not have a shop manual, is there a specific adjustment procedure? :ihih:

1. Keep the throw-out bearing lubricated.
It has a grease fitting.
2. Some parts wear as they do their job.
It's fairly normal for those bolts to show some wear by the time the clutch friction disc has worn out.

3. Don't rest your left foot on the clutch pedal.
That causes the throw-out bearing to ride against those bolt heads.
Wears them both out prematurely.

Gotcha, thank you indeed.

May I shamefully request if you know the tq settings for the pressure plate to fw, and fw to crank? :icon_xd:

Bolts should be 3/8 x 24 for both.

45 to 55 foot pounds for both.

Put a bit of sealant on each flywheel bolt (9 each) as they are in contact with the engine crankcase interior and will leak oil if not sealed.
Indian head gasket shellac is good for this, or a bit of permatex #3.

You should not need to adjust the three bolts on the pressure plate, those are set during the rebuild precess.

The man with the knowledge. Thank you so much. I'll start wrenching. I will make a lil video about that nv4500 to ih345 conversion. Some others might find it useful
