powr-lok from old d44 to new d44

Can you take the Powr-Lok out of a '69 800a rear d44 and install it in the front of a '75 d44 out of a Scout II. I am not sure on the spline count of the '69 d44 but if it is a lower spline count can you just change the side gears inside the Powr-Lok? And where do you get the side gears for a 30 spline d44 Powr-Lok?
Thanks.

All of what you said if correct. You have to make sure the spline count matches. I know some of the earlier Scout 800, used a taper shaft 19 spline Dana 44, so in that case it wouldn't work and you would need to change the side gears. As for getting the correct side gear, I bet Jeff could source them from dave the gear man.

I have seen 19 spline powrloks that have a smaller journal on them then the 30 spline powrloks so they May not swap. A 69' 800a should have 30 spline axles so this powrlok May swap right in for you. If you end up needing 30 spline powrlok side gears we sell a kit for $198.
