Pink 2.0

Monte

I like your front clip for pink 2.0, could you post a couple of pictures of the hinge set up. I want to build one of these out of fiberglass but am trying to come up with a good hinge setup to use.

Here are a few pics of what I have already posted. I used flat plate and some tube to make a basic piano hinge. I used a bolt and lock nut for the hinge pin. Next time I am out working on it I will try to remember to grab a few pics.

Thanks for the pics, it looks like a good system, and I like the numatic lifters, I think I will incoporate them in my project.

I finally got the carb rebuilt and spent last night doing four wheel burnouts. I plan on running it this weekend for a final test n tune, hopefully the carb jetting is close and it won't require too much modification. Next Saturday is opening day, pics and video to follow soon.

thanks guys. I'm not sure if dodge and Chevy 44's have the same length axle shafts, but a buddy up the road stockpiles mopar stuff and he says he has what I need.

I guess more torque and hp = breakage.

Chevy and dodge inner axle shafts are not the same length....

But a lot of the otehr stuff crosses over.

I found the axle shafts I needed and even a few spares. Everything appears ready and I am hoping for a positive performance on Saturday.

We need more traction, less wheel spin at the starting line. I am going to try some 38.5x15.50 boggers on the rear for willamina. The 11.50 boggers aired down to 4 psi just wasn't working.

The wider tires should be a lot better. Are you going to stay with the skinny tires in the front, that seems like what a lot of 'mud' guys do?

Yes, keep the skinny tires in the front. If that doesn't help with the tire spin, maybe run it in 4h??? I don't know anybody in our class that can run 4h and keep up though, there are a few guys in the class up from us that do but they pushing 700+ hp and a ton of torque.
