I will be in bend this weekend. But that's after Thursday. There is a 67 listed in the add. I wonder if it has good drums.

I will call the guy tonight, but since I will be in bend with my wife hauling a camping trailer I certainly won't be able to:
a.) get another vehicle with my wife around
and
b.) tow anything I managed to purchase while she napped in the car home.

Maybe I can talk the guy out of scrapping them. Maybe he got's a shortie somewhere. I will try to get him to hold off till next week.

Talked to jim,

sad news. One 392 rebuilt a few years ago, another 392 that "needs some cam bearings", a 345 and a 304. The 67 is "pretty rough" but the 71 (with a 392) drives "good enough for logging".

Jim is an International collector until his recent divorce. He has to get this stuff off the property today or will have to pay hefty fines to his wife.

He sounds about as heart broken about it as I am. Fun guy to talk to but he has to do something about it. He said he is looking for a place to stash what he can but most of it is going to the scrapper.

There are plenty of old logging roads that he could park them up.... damn, the running truck sounds like it will be a steal at what you could probably get it for. I would have left this morning, but when my Dad found out, I think I would have been shot! too bad...
