permatex copper spray on head gasket sealer

Any composition head gasket is always installed dry. No need for any other product, in fact if you "seal" the so-called permanent torque gaskets you will screw it up.

A steel/copper/aluminum gasket does get treated with some form of coppercoat,... Such as the oem-type steel shim head gaskets, the intake gaskets, etc.

Do an extensive search and study the information contained throughout this sub-forum and you will find these questions have all been addressed over and over. An example of that involves "sealing" the intake manifold bolts along with the retaining fasteners for the rocker shafts.

What head gaskets are you using? Don't reuse your old steel ones no matter how good they look.

That copper spray perfect and is what you should be using for all steel embosed shim gaskests including the intake gaskets made the same way...

I would however recommend felpro blue pt series composit gaskets..

I was going to use the felpro, but found another source
oem International head gasket # 151455r7
which is I suppose similar.
