Parts I need

Hey all, at the last meeting I was talking about parts I need to finish my diesel to gas swap in the traveler. So, I have made a list of what I am in need of. As any true IH owner, used is okay and cheap is best!

Scout II gas transmission tunnel cover
Scout II clutch linkage
Scout II flywheel dust cover for a t-19

Scout II traveler rear driveline, about 58 3/4" compressed length from u-joint to u-joint.

I will try to get more specific if need be. So, if you've got something send me a pm. Dad and I should (fingers crossed) be swinging the engine in this week, so things are progressing!

Edit: also, I'd like for things to be local, or pickup at Binder Bee, I really don't want to deal with shipping.

I will search my pile of parts....

I'm almost positive I have the front driveline.

I have secured a 23.25" front driveline with 1310 ujoints for you! The u-joints are toast but the shaft appears a-ok.

I put your name on it.

I still need to look through a box to see if I kept the clutch linkage - you are talking about the tube with the two arms that come off it, it has ball sockets on both ends one for the frame and one for the transmission.... ???

Thanks chris!! Dad and I got the engine dropped in today and while I would love to say we're almost there, we've still got some wiring to redo, accessories to bolt on and I am upgrading to a taurus fans, so I've got a shroud to build.

And yes, I took a look at my parts catalog and it appears the difference is the pivot you're talking about. So if you had one of those I'd take that as well.

I've also updated my initial posting with a few more parts.

I have a tunnel cover I can bring carl. I have three terra/traveler rear shafts but they are all shorter. The longest is around 56" compressed...

Cool :icon_mrgreen: I am going to have my Dad check on the measurement for the shaft again. Sometimes me and tape measures don't get along. I'll let you know what he find. Looking forward to seeing ya.

Thanks carl. I'm looking forward to coming down. It's been a few years since I've been able to make the bee but it's looking good so far for this year.

Pickup at Binder Bee, I really don't want to deal with shipping.

When is the Binder Bee, like 2 weeks? I have a driveline, but need to get it to somebody heading up there.

Edit: do you know of anybody from cali heading up that way? I don't want to bother Jeff as he has a business to run.

Dimmock and maycroft are coming too.

Pinning note to shirt, pull shaft out of shed.

it's been like 2+ years, but I never throw any Scout parts away.

I can pm one of those guys and see if they have room to haul it up there.

Cost is a beer, due the next time we meet. :dita:

Cory....disregard on the tunnel cover, I just checked the parts catalog and the tunnel cover is the same, it's the shift lever for the transmission that is different!

I am going to send you a pm as well, I don't want you hauling something all this way just to haul it back.

Thanks for the offer.

I found the front drive shaft in the shed, the rear must be at my dads place. I will look next time I'm up there, but it won't be in time for the bee:icon_neutral:

Thanks Craig, I think chris who posted earlier in this thread has a front for me as well. I'll take both as spares are always needed.

Michael is flying and Jeff is unloading stuff to keep weight down.
Fedex is cheap at like $10 bucks. So if it breaks you know where to get one.
