Oil Load Up?

Ok looks like #4 is about dead. Put a shot or 3 of oil down the spark plug hole and let's see if the compression changes. If you get significantly more compression it's the rings. If not it's a valve. Since the plugs look clean, I'll make the unpopular prediction that it is indeed a failed valve guide. Regardless, the engine is going to need a tear down. Let us know what you find.

Ok, the pics is from right after they were pulled. The pic for gap is a little off, not as close as it looks there. Put new set in and it ran alot better. Didn't get a chance to oil cyl and try compression check yet, and might be a little while till I get around to that, the carnage was massive this weekend. Went camping for birthday this weekend, on day one she did awesome, only thing I couldn't climb was can opener, just too slick, but climbed everything else on archers. Day two skipped can opener all together, but the front right knuckle failed on the water fall. Destroyed axle and everything in process. Will be a little while before enuf $ to put the front corner back together.

So I finally got around to this again. Got it put together and made the bb trial run, but without power steering, so didnt get to push it at all. So the plug now have about 10 hrs total on them, and I re-ran the compression test and then added oil to the cyl and ran it again. Outlook not good. Got another pic of plugs and the one that looks funny is nr 2. Post up your thoughts. Personally thinking of putting full rebuild on winter list, looking at doing auto swap then anyways.

Rings on #4 are not sealing. And possibly pumping some oil on #2, although that plug does not look to bad, propane might change things a bit.
