I will calendar it as a possibilty. I have several "repairs" planned for that weekend but if I get enough done on Friday I'll run on down for the day.

Although the cheese "could" be up again by then I am likely out as I am pretty sure I have family obligations the entire weekend:icon_rolleyes:

Thinking bout putting in that 392 this weekend :ihih: robs tranny is kinda in crossthreded shaft ps. Vote for my pic

Jayson, you can quote me on this... "your gas mileage will decrease dramatically with a 392 vs. Your current 345".

That has been my experience with them. As you know I have two of each at the moment and the 345's will get 15mpg + while the 392's struggle to get 12. The 392’s are more impressive in power and torque though:icon_cool:

how did your test go?

It was cool as for the gas im not too worried but u got me thinking now because the axles are gonna change to 411 from 373 but the swap isnt to hard to do ill c how fun it is if I dont like it ill freshin up that other 345

I know this is IH only, would a Jeep with Scout axles be shunned or welcomed to hang out on a run like this with you guys? I also have a Scout d300 t-case(4:1 terralow) in the Jeep, practically a whole Scout drivetrain! My stepson has a 76 Scout we just took thru the con last month(scoutaddict), I don't know if either of us can go, or if I can get my Jeep back together, but I've never been to hollister, I'd like to check it out maybe a Saturday run down and play thing.

.

Maybe???

Scout -aholics 12 step program
1. We admitted we were powerless over scouts—that our lives had become unmanageable.
2. Came to believe that a Scout greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of our son and their scouts as we understand them.
4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of our son’s scouts.
5. Admitted to the Scout god, ourselves, and to other Scout beings the exact nature of our Jeep wrongs.
6. Were entirely ready to have the Scout god remove all those defects of jeepdom
7. Humbly asked him to remove our Jeep.
8. Made a list of all Scout persons we had harmed, and became willing to make the switch.
9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure or embarrass them and others.
10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it to the forum.
11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with ours sons as we understand them, praying only for knowledge of their will for us and the power to carry out Scout ownership.
12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we carry this message to scouter’s everywhere, and to practice these principles in all our daily affairs.

Cool, now I just have to get the Jeep together, electric fan in the Scout.... Convince the wife it's a good idea, even though I've been in the con 3 times this year, and moab for a week. Lol

If I go, no camping, I heard some things about hollister I don't know if I'll like, lots of poison oak, trails that could flip you over backwards, and body damage with the pinch rock, dono........
