Upon inspecting the head setup (by the shop I use for machine work) I found the seat spring pressures above the spec by 15#.
He had used sbc springs and that is ok, but in the case of my 100% stock build, the cam will only suffer from higher than normal wear at best. So I rechecked the installed height and installed the oem spec spring. Yeah probably
over kill. 
from the factory:
installed height 1.693" (43mm)
spring load @ installed height: 70#
