Before I purchase a diesel Scout I've found, I have a couple of questions.
Are the non turbo diesel's decent? How well do they hold up? Can they be used for light to moderate offroading with the proper gearing? Are they worth purchasing, or am I better off keeping and eye open for a decent Scout II with a gas motor?
Any thoughts or advice are welcome. I've had lots of Chevy trucks/blazers/and suburbans, and several diesels, but am curious about this before I jump in.
I should mention that I don't mind if it takes awhile to get moving, as long as I can get moving. The Scout in question has d44's, a 4-speed, and 33" tires.
Thanks!
