Hi all.
Yup, this is a 1970 Glassic '29 Model A replica. Factory built, glass body on a 1970 or so Scout chassis, 196ci and 3 spd stick. Car has about 30K and she runs. PO did full tune up, new cheap carb and she fired with fuel down her gullet. I installed a 15gal fuel cell, elect fuel pump and got it running where she sits (it's been in someone's backyard for quite a while, so we need a'lil love). Redid all the brakes from the master to the shoes, so she stops.
At idle she's fine. Revved fine in place. Topend rattle under acceleration. Probably lifters/rocker.
Finally got the service manual this week. Wanted that before I go deep.
On the road she was stalling under her own load and I'm upgraded the fuel pump and replaced the coil with new. Haven't tried running her yet.
More will be revealed.
I know this site will be informative. I love this little car. Gonna be a cool hot rod when we're on the road.
Thanks all in advance! Harry

The Glassic. They were kind of ahead of their time in terms of a retro body on a more modern (for the time) chassis. Nowadays those types of mashups are all over the place from mild to wild. Get your timing an ignition tuning as dialed in as you possibly can. You may have soem fuel delivery issues as well, but those are much easier to diagnose when you know for certain that your ignition side is solid.
